Catch-Up Cleanup
Loan-ready books: clean, current, and ready for the bank
Short answer: The Catch-Up Cleanup fixes up to 12 months of an owner-operator's books for $750 (up to 24 months or 6 accounts for $1,250) and delivers a lender package: profit and loss, balance sheet, debt schedule, settlement reconciliation and written explanation notes. It takes ten business days from complete records and timely answers to our questions. Already on Monthly Books? Your books are kept loan-ready every month, and the package is $250 when you need it.
Loan-ready is what good bookkeeping looks like from a lender's side of the desk. The same clean books tell you where your business stands every month, whether or not you ever borrow.
What we fix
- Every bank, card and loan account reconciled to its statements, with duplicate payments removed. When a bank and a card both feed QuickBooks, every card payment can show up twice; we find the twins.
- Gross pay and each carrier deduction recorded separately. Your bank sees the net deposit; your carrier's 1099 reports the gross. We record the gross, book each deduction to its account, and compare the year's income with the 1099, with any difference documented.
- Escrow shown as your asset. Money the carrier holds in escrow is still yours. It belongs on your balance sheet, not in your expenses.
- Business and personal separated using rules you set on a short call, all documented.
- Loan payments split into principal and interest from your lender's own figures, so the balance on your books matches the lender's.
- Old mistakes corrected cleanly. Errors from years already filed are corrected without touching those returns, and listed for your tax preparer.
What's in the lender package
- Year-to-date profit and loss, and the prior year if we kept it
- Balance sheet as of the last month closed
- Debt schedule: every loan and card with lender, balance, payment, rate, maturity and collateral
- Settlement reconciliation summary: each weekly sheet tied to its deposit and to the carrier's year-to-date total
- Debt payments summary: the scheduled payments on your current loans and cards, from your lenders' records
- Explanation notes for the questions lenders ask owner-operators, such as one carrier as your only customer, gross versus net income, or bank balances that dip negative over a weekend while a Friday deposit posts
- An index of the documents only you can supply: tax returns, ID, insurance certificate, lease agreement
We compile the package from your records. We don't apply for loans, recommend lenders or promise approval; the lender decides. You choose who gets the package.

How long does a Catch-Up Cleanup take?
Ten business days from the day we have your statements, settlement sheets and loan statements, plus timely answers to our questions and the 15-minute call. Bigger catch-ups are quoted with their own date.
Will a lender approve me if my books are clean?
We can't promise that, and no honest bookkeeper can. Clean books remove one common reason for delays and follow-up questions; the lender still looks at credit, time in business, the truck and their own rules.
Can you send the package to my lender?
Only if you tell us in writing which lender. Otherwise we deliver it to you and you decide who gets it.
What if my carrier's 1099 doesn't match my bank deposits?
That is normal for leased owner-operators: the 1099 shows gross pay and your bank shows the net after deductions. The cleanup records the gross, books each deduction and ties the two together.
What if my books are years behind?
Tell us how far back they go. We quote a fixed price before any work starts, and that quote is the most you pay.
