Privacy policy

Short answer: This website doesn't use advertising trackers. If you sign up for email we keep your email address to send what you asked for. Clients' financial documents are used only to do their bookkeeping, kept in a private folder per client, and never sold or shared without written consent.

Website visitors

We may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics from our hosting provider to count page views. We don't use advertising cookies or sell visitor data.

Email sign-ups

When you request the checklist, your email address is stored with our email provider (Kit) to send it and an occasional email about owner-operator bookkeeping. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We don't sell or rent the list.

Clients

• What we receive: statements, settlement sheets, loan statements, tax-return pages and business documents you upload, plus bookkeeper access to your QuickBooks file so we can record and correct entries.
• What we never ask for: bank or card passwords.
• How it's stored: in a private folder for each client with two-factor authentication on our accounts. We ask you not to email or text documents.
• Who sees it: Road Ready Books staff working on your account. We share with a lender, tax preparer or anyone else only with your written consent naming the recipient.
• Software: we use software providers to do the work: QuickBooks (Intuit) for your books, Google for document storage and email, and AI-assisted tools (such as Anthropic's Claude) to read documents and draft entries. They process your information to provide their service. A person reviews every entry before it's recorded, and your service agreement covers this use.
• How long: seven years after our work ends, then deleted. You get copies of everything when you leave.
